Dear Dealers and Fellow Collectors;

October seems like light years away. And yet, it will be show time before we know it. The Jefferson State Antique Bottle Collectors are pleased to announce the continuation of our ongoing relationship with Seven Feathers Hotel and Casino Resort and to let you know that the show is a go for 2009 on Friday October 16th and Saturday October 17th. Mark your calendar!

2008 showed that despite the economy, Canyonville continues to be an increasingly popular attraction for bottle and insulators collectors alike. 2008 saw a total of 72 sales tables and 7 display tables spoken for. Early bird attendance set a new record with collectors from Alaska to Southern California and from New Jersey to Hawaii stepping through the doors at set-up. Sales again were strong and most dealers reported that they did even better than in previous years; again despite the economy. Again, true to form, a lot of "sleepers" in the form of rare bottles and insulators made their way into the show.

Unfortunately, with escalating costs for just about everything, the show went significantly in the red in 2008. In an effort to maintain the high standards that you have come to expect at Seven Feathers, we have had to make a couple of changes in order to continue to break even. We have eliminated the Median area of the convention center in order to reduce the cost of our facilities lease. This in turn, has reduced the number of tables that we can provide. We will be able to accommodate a total of 70 sales and six display tables for 2009. First come - first served will be more important than ever this year. We have also reconfigured the table arrangements in order to fit in as many as possible, while still providing the spaciousness that we've all come to appreciate. Remaining will be everything that you've come to appreciate about the show; plush carpeting and comfortable seating, linens and table drapes, valet parking, great lighting, the onsite appraisals and live auction action, plus the no- host bar on Friday evening. And of course, the entertainment, dining and wagering opportunities that Seven Feathers has to offer. We've also made arrangements again this year for a block of rooms at reduced rates. Just mention "Jefferson State Bottle, Insulator & Collectible Show room block" to receive your preferred rate. And don't forget to ask about the "player's club card" when you call to book your rooms or when you arrive. Rumor has it that a lot of insider deals may be available that can result in major savings to you!

We've also got a couple of new ideas in the works this year and 2009 promises to be our best show yet. Our website is up and running and we will begin accepting early dealer reservations starting on May 1st. On behalf of Bill, Dale, Scott and myself, we'd like to personally extend our invitations to you, our valued dealers and fellow collectors, to join us on October 16th and 17th for Canyonville 2009~.
